Nora Naji holds a PhD in Political Science from the Graduate School of Social Sciences at the University of Basel. She earned her BA in International Relations from the University of Geneva and an MA in Culture and Politics from Leiden University in the Netherlands. Before joining the Gender, War and Security Research Group, she worked as a Junior Project Manager at swissnex San Francisco. She also gained professional experience in the human and social sciences at UNESCO in Paris and at a human rights organization in Amman. Her research interests include peacebuilding and human security, gender and postcolonial feminism, and humanitarian innovation and design.
